Naomi Tagini

Fascinated and intrigued by color, texture and pattern, I studied costume design.
At the age of fifteen, I fell madly in love with Italy and was fortunate enough, several years later, to obtain a position in Milan, accessorizing a line of high end women's wear.
Claudio, the designer, and now my husband, eventually tired of the fashion world and we returned to the States.

From fashion designer to cowboy, as a friend once said.
A passionate fly-fisherman and adventuresome traveler, Claudio now specializes in custom vacations, giving us the opportunity to travel to little known, unique places, such as a treehouse in the jungles of Belize (the inspiration for my art piece).
I went on to design and manufacture costume jewelry. These jewelry pieces were later incorporated into the handles and closures on a line of handbags, carried by Bloomingdales and featured in several magazines ("T.V. Guide", "Buzz", "L.A. Magazine").
Gourmet cooking having long been another passion - table top accessories came next (coasters/drink trays and placemats). The drink tray patterns changed, depending on how the coasters were replaced.
Art for the wall became the next challenge.
Since my work is about fun, I wanted to create works in multiples that could be rearranged at whim.
